Nikki Maline
Nikki is the Energy Programs Director and an Energy Coach for local homeowners and businesses. She facilitates the Energy Smart Colorado Program locally (Eagle River/Vail Valley). Daily she oversees the Energy Programs staff and a local Energy Smart Analyst team, manages the Energy Assessment process and rebate programs, visits local businesses to talk about energy improvements in their buildings, and provides Realtor training on Energy Efficiency. Nikki loves sharing sustainability ideas with others, experiencing nature and seeing new things. She is a certified BPI Building Analyst.
Nikki has been a full time resident of Eagle County, CO since 1997. She grew up in North Platte, Nebraska, has a large family, and values relationships. Before promoting energy efficiency in homes and businesses, Nikki provided recycling support and education to residents and businesses in Vail, as they transitioned to mandatory recycling. She has also worked in various positions associated with real estate sales, development, marketing, and technology for over 20 years; as well customer service positions throughout Eagle County.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sustainability Studies from Colorado Mountain College in May 2015; and her Associate of Arts degree in general studies from Mid-Plains Community College in 1995. In 2005 she completed all required real estate broker courses through the Colorado Real Estate Institute. In Addition, Nikki continuously takes various continuing education classes related to building science, energy, sustainability, and real estate. Her commitment to customer service and learning is exceptional. She enjoys hiking, snowboarding, snowshoeing, live music and traveling.
