Hunter Wilson

Sustainability Intern

Hunter Wilson (he/him) is originally from Cape Coral, Florida, where he grew a deep love for nature as he was surrounded by the stunning landscapes of the Florida Gulf Coast. Growing up, he immersed himself in the outdoors by spending a great deal of time exploring trails, fishing with friends and family, and playing sports.

During his time at Oberlin College in Ohio, Hunter developed a passion for community ecology and earned his B.A. with a double major in Biology and Environmental Studies. While at Oberlin, he was a member of the varsity football team and served as a research assistant in a plant systematics lab. Additionally, he had the opportunity to intern at the City of Cape Coral’s water treatment plant and environmental lab. Witnessing firsthand how red tide affected marine wildlife and the local community fueled his drive to engage communities in making positive changes.

Hunter is eager to explore Colorado’s breathtaking scenery through hikes and fishing in its pristine waterways. And every now and then, you might catch him on the golf course, diligently working on his swing – it’s still a work in progress!
