Ella Spungen

Ella (she/her) grew up in Brooklyn, NY, and recently graduated from Brown University with degrees in English and Science, Technology, and Society with a focus in the environmental humanities. During undergrad, she also taught environmental science & justice at a local high school, worked at Brown’s herbarium (ask her about the best 19th-century ferns), and did a good bit of writing about environmental policy and her favorite plants, fungi, and animals. Though she’s sad to leave the nation’s smallest state, she can’t wait to explore, learn, and teach in the Rockies. She loves to hike, bike, & swim, can often be caught with a book in hand, and could really use some tips for high-altitude baking.
