José Rivera

José is the Bilingual Marketing Coordinator for Walking Mountains Science Center. He was originally born in Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua, México. At the age of five, he moved to Colorado and has been living in Eagle County ever since, enjoying all the outdoor activities that the valley has to offer.

He attended Colorado Mountain College where he graduated with his associates in Graphic Design in 2022 and received his Bachelor’s in Leadership & Management in 2024. Prior to his role with Walking Mountains, José volunteered and worked with non-profits such as Eagle Valley Library District where he developed his passion for working for and with the community.

His favorite activities include being outdoors on his bike or paddle board, painting, and cozying up with a good book or videogame.
