Bethan Ouimette

Naturalist

Bethan (she/her) grew up in Upstate New York enjoying the waters of the Finger Lakes. She spent every summer in the Adirondack Mountain region, camping as a child and working at the same campgrounds throughout high school and into college. She started out at a community college and recently graduated from the State University of New York at Cortland with a degree in Outdoor Recreation, focusing on Environmental and Cultural Interpretation. Bethan has loved learning the art of “playing in the woods” through trip-leading, outdoor education, and many other outdoor adventures. She is thrilled to continue that journey with Walking Mountains as a Naturalist Intern, sharing her love of nature with others and discovering the beautiful state of Colorado. In her free time, Bethan can be found crocheting, hiking with her two pups (and her adventurous cat), dancing to some live music, or human photosynthesizing in a hammock with a good book.
