Drinkering & Tinkering
Never has the idea of waste reduction been so fun! This ongoing series works to help inspire upcycling and proper waste diversion here in Eagle County. From worn climbing rope becoming rugs to wine bottles being transformed to bird feeders, Drinking & Tinkering is an evening of community creativity and hands-on learning.
Special thanks to Boone’s Wine & Spirits for being the beer and wine sponsor for the Drinkering & Tinkering series.

Upcoming Drinkering & Tinkering
Banner Tote Bags
April 24, 2025 | 7:00-8:30 pm | Walking Mountains | $20
You have likely seen our Zero Waste team staffing waste diversion stations at events all around the county but it takes so much more than setting up extra bins to make an event truly zero waste. At this Drinkering & Tinkering we will share stories (and perhaps a few gross anecdotes) of how we are working to make events big and small more sustainable.
As a part of our waste diversion efforts we have collected a variety of textiles ranging from tent toppers to table clothes. At this program we will sew our collection of colorful materials into tote bags great for gear or groceries!
SPECIAL NOTES FOR THIS PROGRAM – Bring your own sewing machine and a spare bobbin if you can. Bringing a sewing machine or knowing how to use a sewing machine is not a requirement. We will have two helpers on site to assist with sewing and this project can be sewn by hand.
