Walking Mountains’ 7th-9th grade overnight hut trips are about personal development, leadership, problem solving, and of course making meaningful friendships while enjoying the outdoors! All Summer Science Camps are age-appropriate and taught by qualified natural science educators that make learning safe and fun.
All overnight camps are based out of one of the historic 10th Mountain Division hut system.
Avon: July 8 – July 10 (Fowler-Hilliard Hut) $375
Early registration for this camp is given to students who participated in the Walking Mountain’s STEM afterschool program during the ’23-’24 school year. STEM families will receive instructions via email to access registration prior to open registration.
Many of the incredible inventions in our world today like cameras, rockets, and medical devices were inspired by nature. Explore the impressive ways nature solves problems with its designs on this exciting overnight hut trip full of time spent making new friends outdoors!
Avon: July 15 – July 17 (Peter Estin Hut) $375
Take a leap outside of your comfort zone by joining us on a two night hut trip where you will discover your own leadership style! Through group challenges, exciting games, and exploration time in nature, you will learn how you can lead the way. Life is full of opportunities to make a difference!
