Nature Classroom Kit
Walking Mountains Science Center offers unique science and nature kits to bring the joy of environmental learning to your classroom. Each kit includes 8-10 lesson plans and all the materials you will need for up to a week’s worth of hands-on learning. This service is designed for classroom use with early learners (ages 2-6).
Kits can conveniently be picked up at Walking Mountain’s Avon Campus Monday-Saturday at 318 Walking Mountains Lane. Cost varies according to the size of your classroom.

Animals with Antlers:
Learn about the unique adaptations of the deer, elk, and moose that call Eagle County home. Enjoy hands-on interaction with biofacts including antlers, pelts, and track and scat replicas.
Trees are Terrific:
Learn all about local trees from their roots to their leaves. Discover what animals make their homes in the trees, how trees grow, and plant your own pine tree.
Snow Science (recommended for December-March):
Channel your inner scientist and explore snow and weather through hands-on experiments. Learn how to make a snow volcano, paint in the snow, or explore cause and effect.
