Discover and learn about the ecology and wildlife of Vail in the meadows and woods along Gore Creek at the Vail Nature Center.
Monday – Saturday | 2:00 – 3:00 pm
- Free. Reservations required.
- Please confirm that you have selected the correct date and time.
- Family friendly and suitable for most physical abilities.
- Please come prepared to spend an hour outside in a variable environment. Sturdy shoes, a jacket and sunglasses are recommended.
- Please call the Vail Nature Center at (970) 479-2291 if your plans change so that we may accommodate other visitors.
The Nature Walk is about ½ a mile of walking over the course of 1 hour, with periods of standing at several stops. The dirt trail is mostly flat but has some small hills.The Vail Nature Center’s trails are not ADA accessible. If you call ahead, wheelchair-accessible parking for the center and program modifications are possible. Restroom facilities are available outside the center.
