David Geddes

David Geddes (he/him) was born and raised in eastern Massachusetts. Local camping trips and adventures in the White Mountains of New Hampshire with friends, family, and Scouting inspired in him early-on a deep love of nature. He has been helping others to explore the natural world since his first year as a camp counselor at age 16. In the wake of the pandemic and with the challenges posed by climate change, he believes environmental education through hands-on outdoor experiences are crucial for youth now more than ever. Since earning a BS in Natural Resources Conservation from UMass Amherst, he’s been lucky enough to have had adventures across the country while working seasonally for federal agencies and nonprofits large and small. Having lived and worked so far in Massachusetts, New Mexico, Wyoming, New Hampshire, Florida, and upstate New York, he’s excited to immerse himself in the landscape and culture of Colorado. When he’s not hiking or camping, David enjoys cooking, singing sea shanties (often just to himself), and recently has been trying to learn the banjo.
