Lydia Delehanty
Lydia grew up exploring the backroads and trails of rural southeastern Idaho, where she developed a strong sense of connection with the landscape. After graduating with a degree in Biology from Middlebury College, she followed her heart out west to work on sage-grouse research in Nevada. There she discovered a love of community outreach and engagement. Having earned her Master’s degree in Science Education as a Foley Graduate Fellow at Walking Mountains, she continues to empower youth in Eagle County through Girls in Science and STEM Curiosity Lab.
Lydia enjoys hiking with her dog, playing music, and tending to her numerous houseplants. But most of all, she loves using education in natural settings to inspire stewardship among young people from all walks of life.
